    • Job Requirements
    • Must be able to read strips
    • Comfortable with post heart caths, TR Bands, CHF, COPD, Post pacers, and arrhythmias patients
    • Must be able to titrate Heparin and occasionally Lasix or Bumex
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts are all 12's (0700-1930; 1900-0730)
      • Self-scheduling is allowed
      • Accommodate block schedule if needs of the unit are met
      • EOW for travelers
      • Night shifts Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon; Day shifts Sat/Sun
        • Unit Specific Information
        • 43-Beds (Semi-private) with 9-10 private
        • Average ratios 1:5 (can flex up to 1:6)
        • PCT's - Ratios: Goal is 1:8 but can flex up to 1:12-18
        • Charge Nurse 24/7
        • 1 day of Computer training, followed by 1 day on the floor shadowing, then on their own the 3rd day
        • Used to having a lot of new grads and very willing to teach
          • Additional Details
          • Travelers worked into the float rotation
          • Could be floated anywhere in the hospital within skillset
          • Royal Blue scrub color/dress code
          • Extensive team work required
          • Fast paced with approximately 8-12 discharges and admissions per day
