• Certification Details
• BLS (AHA) certification is the only required certification
  • Job Details
  • MedSurg - Infectious Disease unit (Cost Center 15) with 18 beds (All private rooms due to Infectious Diseases)
  • Staffed with 3-4 RNs per shift
  • Experience with MedSurg, ID, Isolation precautions required
  • Charge Nurse available 24/7; Day charge may take patients, Night charge will take a full patient assignment
  • 2 CNA's per shift
  • No cardiac drips, no ventilators on unit; potential management of patients on Cpap, Bipap, or High flow - managed per RT
  • Remote tele-monitoring from the 3rd floor with monitors at the desk; RN's not required to read or interpret strips
    • Job Requirements
    • BLS Certification (AHA) required
    • Strong knowledge in MedSurg, Infectious Disease, and Isolation precautions
    • Ability to work in a MedSurg unit that handles all kinds of Infectious Diseases, Isolation, COVID, MRSA, C-Diff, etc.
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 Hour Shifts: 0700-1930; 1900-0730 with a 1/2 hour lunch break
      • Perm staff does self-scheduling, Travelers will be scheduled as needed with possible block scheduling
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Orientation includes 1 Day of EPIC training, followed by 1 day on the floor with a preceptor, and the 3rd day on their own
          • Additional Details
          • Every-other-weekend work required
          • Night shift weekends are Fri/Sat/Sun; Day shift weekends are Sat/Sun
          • Holiday work depends on the needs of the unit and permanent staff coverage
          • Floating to any MedSurg units required for travelers; if floated to Tele, assignments will be within skillset
          • Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs; scrub jackets not required but if worn, must be actual scrub jackets and royal blue
