American Medical Staffing (AMS) puts you first, and we are currently seeking an RN to join our State Psychiatric team in Weston, WV. This is a state psychiatric hospital with a primary focus on forensic patients and a maximum capacity of 200-beds.

Psych RN Job Details:
Pay Rate: $2,000 to $2,200 per week
Schedule: Variable Shifts
Available Shift: Rotating, 3-4 shifts per week
Start Date: 5/5/25 Two weeks from offer
Located In: Weston, WV
Requirements: Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 years of experience, preferably in a psych, corrections or similar setting, have a valid RN license and be willing to obtain WV and/or compact licensure.

As a Registered Nurse in a state psychiatric setting, you'll play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to institutionalized individuals, promoting their well-being and rehabilitation. This position works in partnership with a team of state psychiatric staff and allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. Responsibilities include:

Assessing patient health status, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions as needed
Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
Monitoring patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary
Collaborating with healthcare team members, correctional staff, and community resources to ensure continuity of care
Documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
