Physical Therapist - Full-Time

Minnie Hamilton Health System, an award-winning rural hospital, clinic, dental, and long-term care facility located in central West Virginia, is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist for our busy Grantsville location. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in both a hospital setting and a long-term care center, helping them achieve optimal physical function and improve their quality of life. We have the nicest patients and the sweetest residents at our long-term facility (really, we do!).



We appreciate our traveling contractors, but this time, we're looking for someone who wants to stay and grow with us-a Keeper!



Our Physical Therapy department is already great, but we're renovating our entire hospital, and the PT Center will soon be brand new with a new location and new equipment!

Responsibilities:

• Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' physical conditions, including strength, mobility, and functional capabilities. - - - -
• Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient assessments, medical history, and goals. - - - -
• Therapeutic Interventions: Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques, including exercises, manual therapy, and use of specialized equipment to improve patient mobility and reduce pain. --- - - - -
• Patient Education: Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and strategies for managing physical limitations. - - - -
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes. - - - -
• Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.--- - - - -
• Compliance: Ensure all treatments and interventions comply with hospital and long-term care center policies, as well as state and federal regulations.
  
  
  
  
  
  Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in physical therapy from an accredited program.

    • Licensure: Current West Virginia license as a Physical Therapist.

      • Experience: Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred.

        • Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, proficiency in therapeutic techniques and equipment.
